Specimen Requirements

Specimen Type: Plasma

Container/Tube:

Preferred: Heparin, plain or gel separator

Acceptable: EDTA

Specimen Volume: 0.5 mL

Specimen Minimum Volume: 0.2 mL

Collection Instructions: The tube should be completely filled, stored tightly capped on ice, centrifuged immediately and analyzed within 15 minutes. If unable to analyze immediately, freeze at -20° C or colder until able to analyze.
