Specimen Type: Serum

Container/Tube: Clot, plain or activator

Specimen Volume: 1 mL

Specimen Minimum Volume: 0.5 mL

Additional Information:

*Immediately maintain specimen at 37°C after collection and throughout the entire clotting process until centrifugation. Centrifuge once clotted or within 1 hour of collection. Transfer serum into an aliquot transfer tube and store 2-8°C.

*Gel separator tube or refrigeration of the clot tube before separation of the serum is not acceptable.
