Specimen Type: Plasma or serum
Container/Tube:
Plasma: Heparin, plain or gel separator
Serum: Clot, plain, activator or gel separator
Specimen Volume: 0.5 mL
Specimen Minimum Volume: 0.2 mL
Collection Instructions:
1. Patient should be fasting for 12 hours for ideal testing.
2. Separate plasma/serum from cells or gel as soon after collection as possible.
